The Dolomites are even more stunning than expected, and a good mix of landscapes and experiences to give you a taste of what it has to offer. The great thing about an Exodus holiday is the peope that you meet - within the group and in general. Made a lot of new friends from across the globe.
This holiday lives up to its name - the Matterhorn is an awe-inspiring sight from every angle and it dominated the horizon. Staying in mountain huts allows you to get further away from the crowds and into the heart of the mountains.
Fabulous trip! Organisation smooth as clockwork, guides excellent and very knowledgable, food excellent, tents very spacious. Hotels very good indeed. This was definitely the holiday of a lifetime. Well done, Exodus!
This trip through spectacular Bolivia and Peru was extremely well-organised, packed with just the right number of activities and lead by some knowledgeable guides. Unfortunately the Continental flights are not ideal, as it's too easy to miss the connecting flights and then it can take 3 days to reach the group.
If you've experience of trekking at altitude, have no fear of vertiginous narrow paths, don't mind going without a shower for 16 days and are prepared to cross freezing glacial rivers early in the morning then you will experience some of the most breathtakingly (literally) awesome remote landscapes in the world.
This is a hectic holiday that packs a lot into 2 weeks. It is great value, but you need to be prepared for some early starts and a lot of travelling. You may experience the extremes of snow in some parts and the heat and humidity of the jungle in others - be prepared for a lot of variety!
When my mum booked our trip I was exetremely excited, I had never paid so much for a holiday and could only imagine the beauty of the hotel, its surroundings and a very smooth well organised trip. However when we arrived I was exetremely disappointed. The hotel was very basic and the organisation was appalling.
We achieved our main objective of seeing Polar Bears close up on two separate occasions. In addition to the wildlife, we enjoyed the sea ice, the vast glaciers and the beautiful light of the Arctic skies. The Quark team on board were knowledgeable, fun and enthusiastic about the environment.
You get really close-up to the animals on this trip, it's animals, animals and more animals every day. On morning walks you will learn about (and touch) droppings, spoors, and identify and hold bones and skulls from giraf, impala, elephant etc. And even meet some of the big five alive!
For me, this trip didn't just surpass all of the expectations that I had, it simply blew them away. Western Mongolia is a very special place of vast open spaces, unspoilt beauty and inhabited by an amazing people whose friendliness and kindness is so unusual today. Ours was also a great group so thanks to all of them who also made this trip so special.
