An active and varied holiday with very good local guides, backed up by a nice hotel in a great town. The choice of activities was excellent - we were lucky enough to share these with people who were pretty well-paced with us, which made a big difference. The use of local village cafes and homes for lunches is a nice touch. Kas is a great place to spend the evenings - plenty of choices for good food and places to sit and enjoy a beer.
I had the most amazing time on this trip. It was my first organised holiday, and I would definitely definitely do it again. The trekking was great and visiting the Berber villages was a real culture shock (in a good way).
A very enjoyable trip which took in a lot of the sites and peaceful countryside of South Eastern Sicily whilst giving access to a couple of pleasant towns - Unesco town Noto and Siracuse. A number of challenging hills but nothing extraordinarily tough, leaving the satisfaction of having made it up that hill!
Libyans are very welcoming people and, even when we were lost in the souk & it got dark we did not feel remotely afraid, in the end we asked for directions & a young man showed us the way, that summed up the holiday. The sites were magic (we preferred Cyrene to Leptis Magna which was what we had actually come to see). Go before too many people discover its magic.
