unfortunately we were not told at time of sale of the holiday that Cotopaxi was closed even though Exodus must have known this. this changed the whole dynamics of the holiday, more time sitting in a minivan, more time camping, less chance of reaching a high peak. its like looking through a car magazine. you see a ford fiesta, I would like a fiesta. phone showroom, have you a fiesta? here is deposit for fiesta. tell your friends I have bought a fiesta. go showroom for your fiesta. they say, here is a Renault clio, we think it's the same thing. enjoy!

Peaks & Valleys of the Atlas

Peaks and Valleys of the Atlas

Brilliant trek. Challenging but well balanced with plenty of rest time and opportunities to clean up in gites after the extremely basic camp sites. Mountains are very impressive and more varied that I expected with lots of streams, flowers and trees in the valleys as well as exposed ridges and peaks above the cloud level. June is a good time to go. We saw very few other walking groups until we got to Toubkal and even then it wasn't really busy. Hot but a cooling breeze most of the time and not too cold on the summits. Definitely recommend it.

Corsica: The GR20

GR20 - Corsica

A truly inspiring walk in stunning scenery. The walking is varied, the scrambling is a bit like that found on Skye and there are still opportunities to swim, relax and see a bit of Corsica.

The Zambezi Valley

Wildlife heaven!

Saw so many hippo, crocs, elephants and a few buffalo in the 10 days! Hard paddling, especially the 1st day, but wonderful animals and scenery make it all so worthwhile!

Sierra de Aitana Mixed Activity

Sierra de Aitana

5
Just recently back from another great holiday - this time in Spain on the Sierra de Aitana mixed activity week. Everything was superbly organised as ever from booking through to the holiday itself. Really good set of activities some quite challenging - you should understand its a level 4 so some things are reasonably physically demanding. Our guides Jose and Jaime were really brilliant, great local knowledge and very patient with people.

Walking in Bosnia & Herzegovina

Superb and varied trip in beautiful mountains and historic cities

5
This was our first trip to the Balkans and we were amazed how much we were able to see in just over a week. The country has recovered exceptionally well from a very tumultuous recent history, and we felt inspired by the warmth and enthusiasm of all the BiH people we met. The countryside is pristine, with absolutely no pollution, and the walking very varied and interesting. We all loved Sarejevo and Mostar, both fascinating and sophisticated cities.

Walking on the Greek Islands

Walking on the Greek Islands

If you want a lovely, leisurely, sunny trip with a great mixture of scenery, culture and gentle walks this is great. There were only 9 people which was perfect. Plenty of flexibility for free time and eating with the group or choosing to wander off on your own or in smaller groups. In June the weather was lovely, it started to get too warm for walking at the end of the week, so I skipped the last day to enjoy on the beach in Naxos. Hotels were good standard, with pools. The ferries can be slightly tedious, but an experience. Great mix of 3 islands, of course whilst Santorini is touristy it is absolutely stunning.

Cycling in Sardinia

Like Amalfi without the cars!

5
This was one of the best cycling trips I have done. Exhilarating descents, sweeping bends, beautiful coastal views and very few cars. There was an opportunity to swim in the sea every day (although the water - in early June - was very ‘refreshing’). The food was good throughout, with the best Lasagne I have ever had in Cabras.
