This is an ideal trip to see as much of the beauty of South Africa in a short space of time. There are so many places i'd like to go back to having spent a little bit of time everywhere and the tour was very good at fitting in everything that we wanted to do even though we were a big group. It was stunning and I always felt safe. The first half is more wildlife based which I loved and the second half is more scenic so there's something for everyone. Maybe it was just our group but we weren't too bothered about the wine tasting and all agreed we'd have much preferred to have a longer drive and carry on to Capetown and have an extra day there.
A varied and interesting week of cycling in lovely countryside, that was really well-led and supported - together with great food and wine. There was a good mix of rides: progressing from moderate through to challenging as the week progressed.
Having read the earlier reviews of this trip we were a little apprehensive but we need not have worried. Exodus had taken on board the criticism and produced a really enjoyable and wonderful trip. Fantastic sights, a wonderful introduction to Mexican culture and beautiful scenery. Do consider it!
Jordan is a fantastic country, sadly bypassed by events in the Middle East. The people are friendly, the food is fantastic, the ancient sites are awe inspiring and the weather (in Oct) pleasant. There's not much to dislike!
This was my first travel experience where cycling was the primary mode of travel. And I loved it! Patrick is an experienced trip leader with the knowledge and personality to ensure everyone in the group enjoyed the trip. The chateaux were fabulous and the restaurant choices (because it really is all about the food and wine right?) - let's just say it was the best food week of my life!
