What did you think of your group leader?
William was a larger than life character who certainly kept the group informed and engaged. He managed to shepherd the group onto trains; planes and ferries with great skill – as it could sometimes be like herding cats. His knowledge of Beijing was amazing but perhaps this lessened as we travelled and other local guides took over – but this enabled everyone to have a different perspective on China from a new leader and of course the local experts helped our appreciation of the areas. We felt the Li River Light show was perhaps “undersold” to the group and we did not attend with great enthusiasm– however, in hindsight this is no bad thing it was amazing and it far surpassed the groups expectations. One of my highlights in actuality.
